On a recent BDR expedition I needed to use my recovery system for the first time. I was off course & rain came in 2 hours before it was forecast. My bike slid into a small ravine. The z-drag system had me out and back on the trail. It was simple to use solo, in the rain, in the woods.
I’d like to thank Green Chile Adventure Gear for making this amazing product. With my injured self, I was not able to pick up my bike solo. But with their Z-drag system, even hurt, I was able to get my bike out of the ditch and back on two wheels. 110% paid for itself on the first use. I’ll never go on any adventure without it.
I was hoping to get some practice using this thing in the yard because it looks a bit complicated at first, but very well made. Last week after working a 12 hour shift I decided to explore some trails near my home on my Honda 300l rally. I slid around a downed tree on the river's edge, only to discover the ground was too soft & slick for me to get up a small embankment. I walked home 2 miles in motocross enduro boots to retrieve my green chili. I couldn't remember how the girl in the video got herself out but the instruction card in the bag was enough to get it somewhat figured out & I was able to get it up to dry ground myself! At home I did it like she did I believe, hooking the bag to the tree & pulling myself towards it while sitting on the bike. I feel it's money well spent when you really don't have anyone available to help you out of a mess &'will keep it on the bike from now on.
Tested out the Z-Drag in my front yard flipping over a Suzuki 800De Adventure from its side, no problem! Works as advertised and doesn’t tangle coming out of the bag. Great product!
