I've now used these half a dozen times since purchasing, and these are really really nice straps. Once you work out how they work and where to anchor them to the bike they do a really great job of securing the bag to the motorbike. The end loops make it easy to secure to almost any point. The non-looped ends allow for easy sliding off of connector and re-attaching, which is helpful when running straps through tight spots. The bungy cord short portion is a nice feature allowing for stretching to bridge gaps and to tighten up the load. But the best feature is the slack clips that allow you to gather up the excess strap and neatly secure them to the pack. I'll certainly purchase these again.
Using with a Scaggs tail rack on a Honda 450L. So far just to hold down a gas can and some firewood. Very nice simple, tough straps. Looking forward to using them for many years to come!! Will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you Green Chile Adventure Gear!
I used these on a recent NMBDR trip. They worked well to lash down a 1 gallon gas bladder. Had to get a bit creative, as they’re not designed to snug down smaller items without some thought. Super stable, however
I recently received my Mondo tie down straps and have yet to take them on an adventure. But my first impression is they are quality built, attach firmly to my RnineT UGS, and works well with my GILL water tight duffle bag. What I like about these straps is the bucklingsystem that allows me to anchor the bag to the motorcycle and gain access to the duffle bag without removing everything. Perfect solution for my application.
My opinion is that the Mondo UL is second only to the Mondo. Which might be expected...
