It can sap your energy trying to get your bike unstuck. It can also fall in a way that makes it difficult to pick up. The Z-Drag is a common rig to give you a mechanical advantage for reduced pull. The combination of roller cams provides a 4:1 pulling ratio for self recovery and a 5:1 ratio when you have help. A laminated instruction card is included in the bag.

So unless you're riding so hard that you need to use this remarkable device more than 3 times a day, day after day, this will be ALL YOU NEED to keep your butt (and your ride) on the trail. 5 stars & 2 thumbs up.
I like this item, need to buy one. as one time in the past it would have come in very handy.
but i would rather see rope not webbing. could build my own. but not for the price they are selling this for. is replacement strap sold? as in is this special or just off the shelf stuff?
as in the future, as used. the strap can be destroyed. any nick in the webbing weakens or destroys it.
not a fail on anyone's part. just the way any strap or syn rope is. some are made better than others, but they all have this problem. broken fibers is bad.
All arrived up here to the snow. Gear looks great, easy to understand with cheat sheet card, and all packed away in a sack. Hope to never use it but piece of mind is a lot. Thanks.
Well, my goal is to never take it out of the bag. But the piece of mind of knowing that it's on board will undoubtedly be worth the price. Still to cold and snowy for my old butt to go get my bike stuck to try it . Northern WI
I bougth this GCAG Z-Drag Recovery System end of december 2022.
It was in promotion, so it was more affordable.
The Belgian custom fee and government tax cost me another 40€, that's about 43$.
I was surprised that it was delivered in only a few days after I bought it.
I did not use it yet, but it looks very well made and easy to operate when I have to.
