I purchased this rack mainly to carry extra fuel because really, who wants to run out of go-juice in the middle of nowhere? I have realized how truly versatile this rack is however, and will be using it for much more than just fuel.
It feels extremely well made, with top notch materials.
It is very versatile. I even ordered a bag snake after I realized how versatile this rack is.
To me, it moves from one bike to another with even more ease than advertised.
It is molle compatible*
*While it is molle compatible, I've found that it is a VERY tight fit to get some of my molle straps through the daisy chain loops. Which is good for security, but can be quite frustrating.
This is just nitpicking, but I would prefer the tags be on the underside of the rack.
All in all, 5/5 would recommend this rack system.
I bought this to hold a soft cooler or dry bag on the back of the seat. It installed quickly and easily and holds one of the 20l dry bags very securely using a bag snake kit. I have yet to try the dry bags as panniers with this rack, but I have no doubt it would be a secure convenient setup. Thanks!
Used it for the first time this past weekend with the 1.5L fuel bottle. Everything stayed in place and was solid. Construction and presentation was very impressive. Its was super easy to install and remove. Will be adding more Green Chili gear to my lineup.
I love the flexibility and versatility of the GCAG system, so when I got my new bike I was eager to get a GCAG rack on it. The uprising rack would not have fit on the new, smaller bike, but the Scramble rack was just right.
I'm always excited before a ride.. More so when I use my GCAG straps to carry duffel bags to work or for some overlanding..saves me lots of weight than using aluminum topboexs and panniers..not to mention they look so look the part on my Africa Twin AS... Keep em coming gents!!!
