If you don't want to have a heavy metal rack on your offroad bike but you want to carry bags for your adventure ride, then this is the way to go!...no chance of your subframe being damaged due to the great cantilever design and it's super versatile too...can use different ways to strap your stuff onto it...and it's really easy to remove/strap on your bags at camp and to remove the whole system from the bike altogether when you get home...plus Adam is really helpful in helping to get things just right...great quality stuff made in USA...👍
Took a bit of engineering to figure out how to adequately secure the system to the KLX, but I think I've got it all worked out. Only time and miles will tell how it truly ends up working out. But, so far I'm very satisfied with the entire process from start to finish! Keep up the great work GCAG!
First, the customer support at GCAG is the best. And their gear is equally awesome. The softail is well thought out, durable, and cost effective. It’s nice to see folks not upcharging like crazy just because it goes on a motorcycle. I got their camping combo and the 20L dry bags are they are the ideal shape. Just one will fit my 3-person tent and poles with rain fly and ground cover, with a change of clothes and other what-nots packed around it. For 40L of storage and room for a third back on top, this set up is perfect for my upcoming CABDR ride. And I can mount my hunting pack or fuel bottle anytime I want instead of using only proprietary bags. I’d buy it again, no question.
I bought the Hardcore Camping bundle to give me maximum flexibility with my dual sport. Good quality, solid functionality. Just what I wanted at a good price.
I went back and forth with a number of different systems that I wanted to purchase and realized that I am not going to be doing a ton of dual sport rides any time soon but I ride with my two sons so it is nice to have some thing to put gear for all three of our bikes on my bike. That being said I decided to go with the hard-core rack because it can handle the small trips I am doing now and will definitely be able to handle longer trips in the near future. Super durable, made in the USA and after speaking to Adam it gave me a lot of confidence about their products and customer service.
